In this workshop, our Chief Curator, Sadafumi (Sada) Uchiyama will discuss the maintenance of pine and maple trees. Uchiyama is a fourth-generation Japanese gardener from southern Japan where his family has been involved in gardening for over a century.
Participants tour the Garden focusing on pine and maple trees, followed by a lecture and demonstration. This workshop will also demonstrate candling, needling, growth regulation, and pruning techniques.
Tickets will be limited and there will be a lottery system to provide equal opportunity for participation among members. Lottery dates will be announced shortly.
