While the Garden is closed due to snow, it is under the care of a small team of gardeners, including Caleb, who shared these stunning winter scenes. This morning he wrote, “The snow is sharp and icy, slipping through the needles on the pines we’ve pruned, making a delightful ‘skrunsch’ under my boots. About 2” of snow covering all the pathways and mossy areas, just beginning the accumulate on the tops of the azaleas. The pines look clean and vibrant, the pieris and thinner-leaved evergreens are all tucked in, shedding the snow off the leaf surface.”
