Join us for a musical performance featuring waggaki, traditional Japanese musical instruments. The performance by Yumi Torimaru with special guests Kyle Abbott and Joel Mankey will feature tsugaru shamisen (Japanese lute), shinobue (bamboo flute), and taiko (drum). Together they will play a variety of minyo (Japanese folk songs), original compositions, and some duets of tsugaru shamisen, the modern, energetic style of shamisen.
