The Portland Ohara School of Ikebana will display seasonal ikebana in a variety of Japanese baskets, including hanakago or flower baskets, at their annual show on Saturday and Sunday, October 13-14 from 10am to 4pm both days. In addition to authentic traditional baskets for flowers their show will include utilitarian baskets for everyday use by cooks, fisherman, and gardeners. Two highlights include a beautiful Chinese styled peony basket loaned by the Portland Saga Goryu School of Ikebana and a huge fish basket at the entry, welcoming guests to the show.
