Cultural Demonstration: Ikebana

Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, has been translated as “living flowers” or “giving life to flowers.” Join us from 1-2pm for an Ikebana presentation in the Cathy Rudd Cultural Corner in our new Cultural Village by the Ryuseiha School of Ikebana.

About Ryuseiha School

The Ryuseiha School of Ikebana focuses on the specific aspects of plants. Arrangements strive to capture and bring out the expression of each branch and leaf. To achieve this goal, Ryuseiha arrangements will often change the viewpoint, uniquely modify traditional materials, or combine elements in a new way.
