Trees and shrubs are being dropped off regularly in the parking lot area near our soon-to-be Entry Garden. Many of the plants (as we’ve mentioned here) have returned to the Garden after their roots were balled up and they were sent to a temporary nursery off-site during construction.
Our team of gardeners have been working to get the returning plants in place and help them flourish. It’s much harder than it looks. Many of the trees are quite substantial in size and they’ve had to be put in place with heavy machinery. As you can see from the bottom picture here, our gardeners have been up on ladders getting them ready to plant.
In addition to the plants that left the Garden and come back, our Garden Curator, Sadafumi Uchiyama said the Garden has several thousand new plants coming into the site. Join us in the new year, and expect the Entry Garden to flourish.
