Takenaka is an exhibiting artist whose work is featured in Enduring Impressions: Contemporary Woodblock Prints, on show now through June 15.
Using blocks carved at his Kyoto-based studio, Takezasadō, Takenaka will craft a re-print of the iconic ukiyo-e era print The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai. The opportunity to view the behind-the-scenes process of printmaking led by a master artist is not to be missed.
