As the sun begins to set and the day’s crowds depart, members are invited to experience Portland Japanese Garden in one of its most tranquil states. During these exclusive evening hours, enjoy tea at the Umami Café and browse one-of-a-kind finds in the Gift Shop. From 5:30 to 6:00 pm, Will Lerner, Marketing and Communications Manager will offer insights into the organization’s rich history, including the story behind why a Japanese garden was created in Portland and background on the different styles found throughout the landscape. 

Please note, this Extended Member Hours does not include access to our historic garden spaces. This special opportunity will be hosted in the Jordan Schnitzer Japanese Arts Learning Center only. Tickets are limited due to available seating in the Jane Stimson Miller Living Room.
