AARP, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that advocates for all individuals over the age of 50, recently recommended Portland Japanese Garden among a select group of American gardens that provide serenity to their visitors. Journalist Rebecca Treon writes, “Considered by a former ambassador of Japan to the U.S. to be one of the most authentic Japanese gardens outside of Japan, the Portland Japanese Garden features eight garden spaces that exhibit different styles of Japanese landscaping.” To read more and see the excellent company that the Garden keeps, visit AARP’s website.
