What is Living Traditions?
Living Traditions is a panel-style lecture series featuring cultural stewards from a diverse range of creative disciplines to explore the intersection of culture, nature, and human ingenuity. Initiated during the pandemic (2020), this program had been offered exclusively through webinars, but in 2024, Japan Society and Japan Institute of Portland Japanese Garden were able to have their first in-person gatherings in this program in 2024.
Precisely the exciting and unique cultural programming that Japan Institute offers, Living Traditions is presented in partnership with Japan Society (NY) and supported by the Government of Japan.
All Living Traditions programs are open to the public, with registration. Access the recordings of past programs.
