Join us for Bonsai Week at Portland Japanese Garden as we celebrate the return of our beloved bonsai collection and explore the artistry, history, and cultural significance of these extraordinary living sculptures.
Throughout the week, visitors are invited to discover the beauty and craftsmanship of bonsai and learn more about this timeless art form at the Garden. As these tiny trees return to our Ellie M. Hill Bonsai Terrace and Jubitz Oregon Terrace, come celebrate their beauty through special activities in the Family Studio, bonsai-themed items in the Gift Shop, and more! We’ll also have a delightful opportunity to learn more about bonsai in our new Garden Experience Center (formerly the Membership Center), nestled within our historic Garden spaces.
