Photographer Memberships are designed especially for professional and amateur photographers and includes all the benefits of membership, including invitations to special Photographer Member hours, permission to sell photographs of the Garden for commercial, advertising, or promotional purposes, and more!

The Sakura Society is a dynamic group of Portland Japanese Garden members ages 21-45 brought together by their passion for horticulture, culture, and the arts. These members are a leading voice for cultural understanding, in pursuit of a more peaceful, sustainable world.

Moon Bridge Memberships are available to Oregon and Southwest Washington families receiving public income-related assistance.
- 12 months of unlimited admission for two adults and up to 8 kids ages 6-17 (children 5 and under are free)
- Due to the eligibility requirements, only Arts for All tickets may be exchanged toward this level of membership (not general admission tickets)

How Long Does it Take to Receive the Membership Packet?
Please allow up to 3-4 weeks for Memberships to be processed. To use all the benefits of your Membership immediately, simply show your receipt and photo ID at the Check-In Window at the Welcome Center.
What is the tax deductibility?
Portland Japanese Garden is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization maintained solely through admissions, Memberships, and special gifts. Membership and donations are tax deductible. Certain benefits, such as complimentary admission tickets, may reduce the tax-deductible amount – please consult your accountant. Questions? What is a Gateway Member?
Gateway Members is a designation of membership as a special thanks to those who maintained Membership through the Garden’s historic period of expansion.
Is Photography Allowed?
Photography is allowed for personal use. Members receive an Annual Tripod Tag that can be picked up at the Membership Center, Welcome Center, or Concierge. To maintain an accessible and enjoyable experience for all visitors, the Garden does not allow portrait photography.
How will my gift recipient know that they have a new gift membership?
Gift memberships are active and ready to use within 2 business days. The gift recipient will receive their membership welcome packet in the mail within 3-4 weeks of purchase. Gift memberships are extended for a full 12 month period.
Can I bring guests with me during Member Only Hours?
You can bring the amount of guests your membership covers.
