Photo by Portland Japanese Garden.\n\n\n\nCelebrate&nbsp\;O-Shogatsu&nbsp\;(Japanese New Year)&nbsp\;on January 1\, 2026\,&nbsp\;at Portland Japanese Garden with&nbsp\;fellow Garden members\,&nbsp\;friends&nbsp\;and family! The Garden will open exclusively to members and their guests from 10:00am to 3:00pm.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nJanuary&nbsp\;1 is a&nbsp\;special day when the Garden isn’t open to the public.&nbsp\;Join us for complimentary festival tea in Umami Café\, enjoy an&nbsp\;extra discount in the Gift Shop\,&nbsp\;take a&nbsp\;volunteer-led tour\, and participate in&nbsp\;family friendly activities in the Family Studio!\n\n\n\nVolunteer-led tours will be available at 10:30am\, and 12:00pm on a first-come\, first served basis. Registration is not required\, just meet us in the Atsuhiko and Ina Goodwin Tateuchi Foundation Courtyard in the Cultural Village.  &nbsp\;\n\n\n\nAdvance&nbsp\;tickets are&nbsp\;not&nbsp\;required&nbsp\;but&nbsp\;are&nbsp\;highly&nbsp\;encouraged.&nbsp\;Members can&nbsp\;purchase&nbsp\;additional&nbsp\;guest tickets online or in-person during your visit.&nbsp\;Last admission is at 2pm\, and members have until 3pm to&nbsp\;stroll&nbsp\;the Garden. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n*Golden Crane&nbsp\;Recognition Society&nbsp\;is&nbsp\;invited to join us starting at 9:30am.  &nbsp\;\n\n\n\nBecome a member today to enjoy this special day!\n\n\n\n\nBecome a Member\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPortland Japanese Garden is celebrating O-Shogatsu throughout the beginning of January!
