Golden Crane Opening Reception: Forest of Dreams

The Portland Japanese Garden invites our Golden Crane Society members to an exclusive preview of the newest Art in the Garden exhibition, Forest of Dreams: Ainu and Native American Woodcarving

The exhibition preview will take place in the Pavilion and Tanabe galleries, followed by a reception in the Cultural Village.

At the reception we will also celebrate the 6oth anniversary of the Portland-Sapporo Sister City Association, with delegations from the City of Sapporo and the City of Portland in attendance, and performances by the Grand Ronde Singers and Performers of Ainu Traditional Arts.

This exhibition is sponsored by NW Natural; the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians; Don Vallaster, Corinne Oishi, and Lindley Morton.

By invitation only to Golden Crane Society Members

Golden Crane preview receptions provide our Golden Crane Society Members the opportunity to experience each of our Art in the Garden exhibitions prior to their public opening.  At the receptions, you will enjoy light hors-d’oeuvres and refreshments while learning more about the works presented from the artists themselves, and/or the exhibition curator. They are also the perfect social opportunity to meet other donors, who are passionate about the Garden and choose to support our mission at the Golden Crane level.

For additional information on the Golden Crane Society, including planned giving to the Golden Crane Legacy Society, please contact Chief Advancement Officer Tom Cirillo at 503-595-5225 or by email.
