We invite you to join us in the Cathy Rudd Cultural Corner to listen to the beautiful music of Koto master Eri Muroi.

Koto – Japanese harp – was introduced to Japan from China in the 7th century. As time goes, the instrument developed further in a solo capacity and eventually gaining its place as one of Japan’s most prominent musical instruments. Today a varied repertoire along with a wide range of playing techniques provides a wonderful palette of sound textures, making the Koto appealing to audiences the world over. This recital will show you how Koto has developed its ability, and what Koto can do in contemporary music world.
