Members are invited to join us in celebrating the return of our annual summer marketplace, Behind the Shoji. Enjoy a first look at the unique selection of curated goods, along with a delightful evening at the Garden featuring light refreshments and music.  

For more than a decade, Behind the Shoji has been one of Portland Japanese Garden’s most anticipated summer traditions. An annual show and sale of Japanese and Japanese-inspired wares, visitors can peruse and purchase from a variety of curated items that, even with a trip to Japan, might be difficult to come across.

The Preview and Reception will open first to Golden Crane Society members at 6:30pm and to all Members at 7pm. This is a free event, but registration is required.

Last admission is at 8:15pm; event ends at 9pm.
